Originally from Latvia, I have called Malta home for over 15 years. I am a contemporary artist and interior designer, with a curiosity for the world around me that has shaped both my personal journey and creative practice.

My interest in art and design has always gone beyond aesthetics. I am fascinated by the stories behind what we see, the details we overlook and the different ways we interpret our experiences. Sometimes inspiration comes from nature or travel, sometimes from a conversation, a memory or an unexpected observation that stays with me.

With a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, I developed an appreciation for composition, materials and the relationship between objects and space. Over time, my artistic practice has evolved into a more personal form of expression, combining abstraction with realistic elements through acrylic painting, lino printing and mixed media.

Experimentation plays an important role in my work. I enjoy exploring unconventional techniques, incorporating upcycled materials and allowing the creative process to challenge my original ideas. My artworks often carry layers of symbolism, humour and personal meaning, but I prefer to leave room for viewers to discover their own interpretations.

Travel and nature have also played a significant role in shaping my perspective. One particularly defining adventure was Turning Pages, a three-year backpacking journey around the world. From discovering different cultures to high adrenaline adventures, these experiences strengthened my curiosity and willingness to step beyond the familiar.

Over the years, I have come to appreciate that creativity is not only about producing something new, but also about questioning what we already know, noticing what we often miss and being open to different perspectives.

Today, I continue to develop my artistic practice alongside interior design, exploring new materials, ideas and collaborations. I value genuine connections with people who share a curiosity for art, design and the stories that bring them to life.
